Warm Hearts Warm Minds!

Students of Mt. Pleasant school and surrounding community gather together to support the Wish Closet!

The final count!!!...The students of Mt. Pleasant school and surrounding area have gathered 453 coats, 44 pairs of boots, 60 snow pants around 100 mittens 190 hats and 150 scarves. MPS and community certainly pulled together. The children did everything to spread the word. It was their project and they deserve an A+.

Burford Elementary school also contributed in the coat drive and gave their take on the statistics!

Grant Cheque Presentation

Brant Retired Teachers of Ontario Support Students and Families

The Wish Closet located at Major Ballachey School is celebrating their 10th Anniversary of service to the community. Executive members from Brant Retired Teachers of Ontario, present a cheque for $4,000 to Betty Finley, Coordinator of the Wish Closet. The grant which will be used by the Wish Closet to improve its infrastructure with such items as industrial shelving was awarded from the provincial level of Retired Teachers of Ontario, based on an application prepared locally.
